So how well is the secret really kept?

So here I am, trying to figure out how I can work on my xmas swap knitting and my everyday xmas knitting. I am still cruising through the possible candidates for my upstream partner, and I realize that the secret of the stole pattern I am working on is designed by one of our swap members. I am not knitting the stole for my downstream swap partner, but I could be.
I think my downstream partner has figured out which one I am, but I haven't had very much contact with my upstream partner....so I remain clueless. Unfortunately this means that she could be clueless about my tastes, and send me a knitted gold lame garter belt or some such. By the way, EXNAY on the garter belt idea....no stockings required in Hawaii.

I've been nervous off and on, too, about a partner. I've heard from them twice, but nothing has been interactive (email) so it's kind of ~scary~ for my first swap.

I wouldn't worry too much ladies :) Some people just don't check their e-mail's as often as others, and some people just aren't as "chatty" either. But if you do develop some serious concerns about it, please feel free to contact either Kasia or me via our e-mail addresses in the sidebar. Hope that helps alleviate some of your worries!

I haven't heard from my upstream, either. She's been ill. :( She didn't respond to my "Hope you're ok!" letter a week ago, so I'm getting worried about her health!

I, for one, would be completely over the top with excitement if someone knit the Secret of the Stole for me. That is some seriously cool knitting!
