Thanks to Austria

I recieved my pals parcel late on friday, and I have been waiting for some light, but it's only snowing so .. Here it is my beautifull and warm parcel. Pair of socks, made of hand-dyed yarn, skein of hand-dyed wool ( love the colors), candy and a candel, and labels so that I can mark my knittings , and a beautifull ornament to my x-mas tree.

Thank you a lot my new friend from Austria, Spinne.

My Package is on its way

I finally got my package to the post office yesterday & it's winging its way to my pal. I hope she likes it!

I am the luckiest person in the swap!!!

I received my parcel from my swap partner. Jaana - Is it you that I must say,

Thank you thank you thank you!!!!!!!!

I received the most gorgeous shawl - I believe it is handdyed, some wonderful treats including gingerbread cookies (a personal favourite of mine!), olive soap, a clove scented candle, some other yummy treats, a Lapland keychain, some sweet little ornaments for my Christmas tree, a dvd postcard from Finland, a day planner, some glittery window cling decorations and gorgeous purple laceweight merino silk. Ahh... heaven...

Oh, and here's a good picture of my new shawl! Isn't it fantastic?!?

I am definately planning my work outfit tomorrow around my new shawl though.

What a wonderful generous parcel to receive! It cheered me tremendously today after the last few days which have been very stressful. What a pick me up! Merry Christmas and a wonderful new year!

Package Ready to Send

Well, my package is in my trunk ready to be sent. Now if I can just get to the post office, we'll be good to go. I had a great time putting stuff together for my downstream pal - I hope she enjoys it all. I'm having a great time getting to know my upstream pal - she seems like such a wonderful lady - I can't wait to find out who she is!

Package ARRIVED!

Thank you June!

I came home from a tiring weekend away to find a lovely box from my swap partner, June. The timing was perfect as I was (am!) exhausted and have a very early morning for work tomorrow. My package was a perfect pick-me-up.

Sadly, I have loaned my camera to a friend so the only pics I could take are on my phone. Then I discovered that I have no idea how to get them off my phone! Fortunately June has a picture of the felted bowl she sent me on her blog! I will post when I can figure out the 'wonders of modern technology' later.

My package included some CandyCane coffee and ginger cookies, chocolates (this cover the main food groups, right?). Since I don't put up a Christmas tree, June included a darling soft snowman which perches nicely on my bookshelf. Some Christmas-scented bath goodies came in a cute red knit pouch, and for future knitting pleasure she sent me a kit to make a felted daffodil. I've never done embellishments like this - any creative suggestions once I make it?

Thank you, June!!

Package sent

My pal's package was sent off yesterday. I forgot to take a picture, however. It's off to a warmer climate (hopefully).

Merry Christmas and Happy Knitting to All!

My parcel has been sent...

I too posted my parcel off this week from the UK to the US. I hope my downstream pal likes the items I've chosen for her. It was fun putting the parcel together. I can't wait to hear what she thinks now!
Merry Christmas - Nadolig Llawen!
